How do I pay off my credit card?
Hi guys,
This is probably a stupid question, but I am new to this whole credit card deal. I am with National Australia Bank (NAB), and wonder how I to put money on my credit card?
For example, just say I buy something on the credit card. Then 2 weeks later I want to put some money into my credit card account to cover this previous purchase, how do I do this?
Thanks!
It depends on the bank the card is issued from. If they have a website where you can create an account to manage your card account then that would be the best suggestion as info is passed through several layers of encryption to protect your identity. An alternative suggestion is to look on the back of the card for the customer service number, and call them to make a payment over the phone or for the address to mail in a payment while you are still in the grace period ( which means you can pay it off without ever getting any interest charged against it). Either way will help you to lower the interest you pay over the life on the payments and will greatly increase your credit rating by showing that you pay well in advance of the due date.
